Please keep a light (preferably vegetarian) diet for as long as possible before starting your ceremonies. Avoid as much as possible any chemical medicines, ready made food or food containing any sort of additives, preservatives or other artificial substances or non-organic, canned or unhealthy meals. Please keep your mind free of any resentment or judgment of the others, this is very important component of the Ayahuasca diet. Please do not consume any meat, chemicals of any type, salt, sugar, strong spices or food that takes long time to digest for at least 3 days before the Ayahuasca ceremony. Do not eat at least 7 hours before the ceremony, but drink as much water as possible. However please do not drink much water for an hour and a half before the ceremony and during the first 2 or 3 hours of the ceremony itself. You can book your ayahuasca ceremony with an English speaker by writing to booking@lionsafari.co.uk; you can also email any questions you have in mind and they will be answered by people who have worked with Orlando for a long time, as he himself does not speak English (only Spanish and Shipibo). The cost of ceremonies is soles 80 per person for groups of 2 or more. For private ceremonies for one person the cost is soles 110. The exchange rate currently is $1 for 2.68 soles. the cost includes the ayahuasca brew. no other hidden costs will be involved. If you cannot arrange your own venue for the Ayahuasca ceremony you can do it at Orlando's house (located in Yarina, Pucallpa, Peru) at no extra cost, however we strongly recommend you not go for this option as you can't expect even basic body comforts as per any western standards. Shipibos are of very resilient nature and are happy in any conditions, however that is not always the case with westerners. While working with Orlando you will be fortunate to drink Ayahuasca brews of superb qualityonly. He does not use brews containing any other ingredients than the 2 traditional components - Ayahuasca and Chakruna. With him you will also not have any problems with weak brews that do not have much effect, which is unfortunately another very common problem with places that offer Ayahuasca ceremonies for foreigners - the brew is weak and therefore people can't receive the full benefit of the sacred medicine.
